Jimmy Connolly aka DJ JVC

One of the original pioneers of the downtown NYC dj scene, DJ JVC (Jim Connolly) has been making Manhattanite's heads nod to knockin hip hop-disco-reggae-house-funk beats for over ten years.

During the 90's DJ JVC moved many a crowd while holding residencies at now legendary venues including Den of Thieves, bOb, Sapphire Lounge, XVI, Idlewild and Lucky Strike. Moving a few blocks uptown in the new millenium DJ JVC now holds weekly residencies at The Whiskey @ The W Hotel, Times Square and Underbar @ The W Hotel, Union Square.

When he's not making the walls shake at one of his weeklies you might find Jimmy throwing down the wax at a beach party in Miami, a fashion week soiree in Paris, special celeb events in NYC or at a friends wedding or house party.

DJ JVCs skills extend beyond rocking parties. A member of Interscope trip hop sensation Market, DJ JVC manned the decks for Dido during her Lilleth Fair tour, has worked with recording artists including Rosie(Island/Def Jam), Elwood(Palm Pictures), Snow(EMI), Citizen Cope(Arista) and collaborated with super producer Bob Power on several occasions. Working with partner Adam Kling as half of Madgroove Productions, JVC’s remix credits(both legit & underground) include Bush, Backstreet Boys, Eminem, Britney Spears, No Doubt, Ashanti, Mindless Self Indulgence, Black Eyed Peas, Brandy and Mazzy Star.
